History
Qlarivia is the result of the first technology to obtain deuterium depleted water (DDW) that has been patented.
The deuterium depletion process of water was discovered by a group of researchers from the National Research and Development for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies in Romania, after many years of elaborate experiments. The first patent was issued in 1997 and other additional patents followed in the following years.
The technology won numerous invention awards in 1998, 2000 and 2011 in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland and Hungary.
In 2006, the technology was acquired by the company Mecro System SRL, owned by Cristian Mladin.
In 2008, the Qlarivia brand was launched and millions of bottles (500ml) have since been ordered by consumers from about 45 countries.
Qlarivia has two products: 25 parts per million (ppm) and 18 ppm of deuterium content, which is 6x to 8x less deuterium than found in regular water.
Drinking DDW offers numerous metabolic benefits, such as:
- Optimizing mitochondria functioning
- Boosting immune system and detox
- Boosting glucose metabolism
- Increasing metabolic rate
- Offering heart and liver protective effects
